A Sliding Shoe or sometimes referred to as just a “Shoe” sorter is one of the fastest continuous sorters available on the market today. A row of sliding shoes travels across the sorter path very quickly and smoothly easing containers onto takeaway/divert spurs. There will typically be a series of photo eyes that work in conjunction with the computer software which trigger the shoes at a specific time and divert the package onto the desired divert lane.
